Biography
Imad Mughniyeh was Hezbollah's chief of operations and military intelligence for 25 years — one of the most wanted men in the world. He was responsible for the 1983 US Embassy and Marine barracks bombings in Beirut (killing 305 Americans), the 1985 TWA Flight 847 hijacking, the 1992 Buenos Aires Israeli embassy bombing, and dozens of other attacks. He operated from Damascus with Syrian intelligence protection. He was killed in a car bomb in Damascus in February 2008 — widely attributed to Israel's Mossad.
