Biography

Khaled Khateb is a Syrian cinematographer who worked with the White Helmets civil defence organisation in Aleppo. At 17, he became the youngest person ever to win an Emmy Award when his footage contributed to the 2016 Netflix documentary 'The White Helmets', which also won an Academy Award. His camera work under bombardment documented the human cost of the Syrian conflict and brought global attention to civilian suffering in Aleppo.
