Biography
Mouaz Moustafa is a Syrian-American political activist and executive director of the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF), which has been one of the most active Washington-based advocacy organizations pushing for US engagement in the Syrian crisis since 2011. A fluent English speaker with deep political connections in the US Congress, he brought Western politicians and journalists to the Syrian border and inside Syria, and lobbied for military intervention, safe zones, and accountability. He was part of the delegation that brought US senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham to the Syrian border in 2013.
