Biography

Rémi Ochlik was a French photojournalist killed on February 22, 2012 in Baba Amr, Homs, in the same Syrian Army artillery strike that killed Marie Colvin. Born in Paris on November 19, 1983, he was 28 years old. He founded his own photo agency at age 16 and documented the Arab Spring across Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya before entering Syria. He was posthumously awarded the World Press Photo prize for his coverage of the Libyan revolution.
